The Audio Archive features a small library of audio fies i have collected over the years.
New to the Audio Archive are a collection of home recordings of now lost Dr. San Guinary bumpers. These lost bumpers were recorded by myself as a child using a variety of cassette tape recorders. The process of recording was crude; i would hold a microphone to the tiny speaker on the television, and try not to giggle too much. Background noise was always a problem with this sort of recording, and on many of these recordings you can faintly hear my mother, or other relatives talking to each other.
Later, I would listen to these recordings over and over again while i drew or read. At the time, i could recall what exactly happened in those bumpers in my memory. Nowadays, it’s not so cear. ;)
Sometime in the late 90’s, i finally took those old dusty cassette tapes and transfered the audio to a better quality cassette, and then in 2002 i finally got them all into digital format. I had meant to post them to this website long ago, but i just never got around to it.
The numbers in the titles are for my reference only, and are not reflective of the actual episode number.

These are the real deal. This audio was the actual sound effects tracks used on Creature Feature for years.
This audio file was produced from the audio carts i received from Charlie Cioffero. True story: Charlie found these audio carts laying in a trash can after someone cleared out the audio tape from the vaults. He snagged them up, transferred the sound to a cassette tape, and then donated them to the Weblab.

This series of bumpers were a favorite of mine, and perhaps a preview of the 80’s preoccupation with political correctness.
Doc talks about a phone call KMTV received that complained about the “violence” in one of the festival entries. It was obvious that Doc was asked to apologize…and he did, but not without making a stand of his own.
I was very impressed. But i have to wonder if this event helped John Jones to decide to retire in 1981.

An odd impromptu recording. During the KMTV evening news, “Crazy” Dr. Dave (the station’s weatherman at the time) was doing his weather report with Igor.
When i saw Igor’s hand on the screen, i raced to the guest room, grabbed my tape recorder, and recorded this bit. It was a surprise to me, because this happened after John retired the Dr. San Guinary character.
